Snikrep Autocare was founded with a simple idea: vehicle maintenance should be professional, transparent and built around the customer.
Our aim is to modernise the way people have their vehicles maintained and repaired, combining professional workmanship and modern diagnostic equipment with the personal service you would expect from a local independent business.
Whether it's routine servicing, diagnostics, a mechanical repair or a vehicle that simply won't start, every job is approached with the same attention to detail and commitment to doing things properly.
Where the name comes from
There is a little bit of Olly behind the name Snikrep Autocare.
SNIKREP is “PERKINS” backwards — a simple nod to the person behind the business and a reminder that, although Snikrep is being built as a professional automotive company, it started with one mechanic's ambition to do things differently.
The name represents the personal approach behind the business. Snikrep Autocare may be the company, but there is always a person behind it who takes pride in the work and stands behind the service provided.
Meet the Owner — Olly Perkins
Snikrep Autocare was founded by Olly Perkins, a fully qualified vehicle technician with over 18 years of experience in the motor trade.
Olly began his career straight from school in 2008 at the age of 16, starting a four-year apprenticeship with Royal Mail Fleet.
Working within a large and varied fleet environment provided experience across cars, vans, lorries and specialist cash-in-transit vehicles, giving Olly a broad understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair from an early stage in his career.
After completing his apprenticeship, Olly continued with Royal Mail Fleet and progressed through the organisation, eventually becoming a Workshop Supervisor.
In this role, his responsibilities extended beyond working on vehicles. He was responsible for other technicians, workshop operations, job allocation and quality control, as well as dealing directly with customers and managing vehicles as they came into the workshop.
This experience provided an understanding not only of how vehicles should be repaired, but also of how a professional workshop should operate and, importantly, how customers should be treated.
In 2017, Olly moved into roadside assistance with The AA, where he spent the following nine years as a roadside patrolman.
Working across a large geographical area, he attended a wide variety of breakdowns and vehicle faults, often diagnosing and repairing vehicles in challenging conditions and with limited information available.
His role involved dealing with everything from non-starts and electrical faults to mechanical failures and complex diagnostic problems. Roadside work requires a methodical approach to fault finding, strong diagnostic skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly — experience which has become a valuable part of the Snikrep Autocare approach.
After almost two decades in the motor trade, Olly decided it was time to build something of his own.
Snikrep Autocare was born.

Olly's practical experience is supported by formal automotive qualifications, including:
IMI Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities
IMIAL Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Light Vehicle
IMIAL Level 2 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Light Vehicle
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Light Vehicle
NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Light Vehicle
Combined with many years of hands-on experience in workshop and roadside environments, these qualifications provide a strong foundation for the work carried out by Snikrep Autocare.
The aim is not simply to replace parts until a fault disappears.
We believe in understanding the problem first, explaining it clearly and carrying out the work that is actually required.
Why Snikrep Autocare?
After many years working within the motor trade, Olly wanted to create something of his own — a business that could do things differently.
Snikrep Autocare has been created around the belief that customers should be able to understand what is happening with their vehicle, know what work is being recommended and feel confident that they are receiving honest advice.
There should be no pressure to have unnecessary work carried out and no expectation that customers need to understand complicated automotive terminology just to know what is happening with their vehicle.
Our job is to understand the problem, explain it in a way that makes sense and give you the information you need to make an informed decision.
The goal isn't simply to repair cars.
It's to build long-term relationships with customers, where people know they can come to Snikrep Autocare for straightforward advice, professional workmanship and dependable vehicle care.

Snikrep Autocare isn't a faceless national chain. You're dealing directly with the person responsible for your vehicle, allowing us to provide a more personal service and build relationships with our customers.
Looking Ahead
Snikrep Autocare has been designed with the future in mind.
The business currently provides a mobile vehicle repair and maintenance service, bringing professional mechanical work directly to customers.
The long-term vision is to develop this alongside a fully equipped Snikrep Autocare workshop, allowing us to offer an even wider range of services, including MOT testing, wheel alignment and other specialist equipment and facilities.
The aim is to build a business that grows with its customers while maintaining the personal service, attention to detail and standards that Snikrep was founded upon.
But the ambition goes beyond simply opening a workshop.
Olly's goal is to build a company that creates opportunities for other people — eventually providing employment, developing skilled technicians and creating a business that can continue to grow beyond its founder.
From a 16-year-old apprentice in 2008 to the founder of Snikrep Autocare, the journey so far has been about learning, gaining experience and continually improving.
The next chapter is about building something to be proud of.

From maintaining large commercial fleets, supervising workshops and managing technicians, to diagnosing and repairing vehicles at the roadside across a huge geographical area, that experience now goes into building a business centred around doing things properly.
